Embedded Planet, a leader in embedded computing and systems solutions (www.embeddedplanet.com), is announcing an addition to their line of small custom form factor “credit card” CPU modules. “With these two new custom form factor boards, the EP1020xS and the EP2020xS, we are filling out our line of Freescale QorIQ architecture CPU modules”, said Matt Hoover, CEO of Embedded Planet. The EP1020xS and EP 2020xS are small, custom form factor processor boards featuring the high performance Freescale QorIQ P1020 or P2020 dual-core PowerPC processor operating at up to 1.2GHz. The highly integrated multi-core processors makes the EP1020xS or the EP2020xS a natural fit for combined control and data plane applications on a single board, thereby reducing system cost, thermal budget and power consumption.
