Single Board Computer Modules

Our single board computer modules are hardware and software integrated solutions that accelerate time-to-market for OEM equipment providers. Each SBC includes a firmware suite for loading your OS and programming the flash, comprehensive documentation, power supply, and all necessary cables.

Use the expansion bus connectors (available on all Embedded Planet's boards) to integrate the SBC into your system and remove the processor module design from the critical path in your project. The connectors give you access to all signals on the processor so you can develop your own custom I/O and interfaces.

Embedded Software

A key portion of all embedded systems is the software. Embedded Planet offers customers an integrated solution to help acclerate their time-to-market. All of our single board computer modules come with a firmware suite to simplify application development and board test. Some boards use feature open source firmware such as U-Boot and Redboot, while others feature Embedded Planet's PlanetCore firmware suite which includes a bootloader, flash burner and hardware diagnostics. PlanetCore can help simplify application development and production manufacturing.

Embedded Planet also offers Embedded Linux and VxWorks Board Support Packages for all of our single board computer products. These packages allow customers to concentrate on application development and not board bring up and basic driver support. Additionally many third party embedded operating system providers support Embedded Planet products and board support packages can be purchased directly from them.

Development Tools

If you need tools to assist in development of your embedded system, Embedded Planet offers Macraigor and Abatron Debugging Tools. Purchasing them through Embedded Planet guarantees compatibility and removes the hassle of developing debug support kits. For an additional level of development tool support check out our Breakout Boards, which can be used for debugging or rapid prototyping of new products.
